This year, FourFox Interactive has been fortunate to receive additional funding from the New Zealand Centre of Digital Excellence (CODE). Through their StartUp funding program, we’ve secured $150,000 to help bring our first game to release. You can read more about the funding and check out some of the other incredible teams that were also funded [here]. Over the past 17 weeks, we've been hard at work putting that funding to good use, making some major changes. The first big update is the name: what was once known as Chroma Academy is now called Match & Mastery—a title we feel better reflects the game’s genre and unique mechanics.

One of the most obvious transformations has been in the game’s visual style. We’ve welcomed Ged to the team, a talented artist who is also working on his own game, Shyftrs. With Ged's expertise, we’ve completely overhauled the aesthetics of Match & Mastery, and we’re thrilled with the results. We hope you’ll love the new look as much as we do! Additionally, we’ve brought Kura on board as our new narrative designer. She’s been instrumental in crafting the world and developing compelling characters that you’ll encounter as you play.

So, what’s next? We’re continuing to work hard, and in the not-so-distant future, we’ll have a new demo for everyone to try out. In the meantime, we’d really appreciate it if you could wishlist Match & Mastery on Steam. Wishlists are crucial for gaining visibility, and we’re grateful for every single one!
